Journey to Life (Pt. 2)

This is what my mom said about me during her pregnancy and as I grew up as a child. I am a wonderful blessing, my mom blurted out. I'm the second of two siblings, conceived during my mother's pediatric residency. My mom's pregnancy was uneventful, albeit her busy & hectic duty schedules but with cravings for coconut meat, siopao buns & native rice cakes (puto), I was delivered via elective Caesarian section at Mother Seton Hospital, Naga City. I was a playful but sensitive child according to my father. I walked at 15 months old and was talkative at age 2 with some words of my own meaning. At age 3 I entered preschool with new friends. I loved school and studying. I was fond of reading, writing and dancing. I had ballet lessons at six till 13 years old. I spent my elementary years in a public school in Tabaco City, joined school activities, programs and contests. At times I may be shy & reserved but I excelled in my academics. What I am today & what I will become is always credited to how my parents have honed me to be. Appreciation and love for family, relatives, house companions, teachers & friends makes us grow happy, humble & simple.
